I wasn't born organized. Not even close.

I learned out of necessity — first by helping my mother, who has always struggled with holding onto too much, then while managing my own home, and later when I got divorced and moved from a three-bedroom home with a full basement and two-car garage into a one-bedroom apartment. I had no choice but to figure out what actually mattered to me and let go of the rest.

Over time, I developed a philosophy. I dove into minimalism, organization, and took on multiple 30-day challenges where I would remove 496 items from my home (I never once missed a single item I got rid of). Over the past 15 years, I've written extensively about decluttering, facilitated community minimalism challenges, experimented with capsule wardrobes, and helped friends and family navigate everything from closet purges to full-home downsizes.

I started Compassionate Clearing Co. because I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by your own stuff — and I know how good it feels on the other side. I believe that getting organized reduces stress and leads to inner peace and a calmer environment. And I believe you shouldn't have to figure it out alone.

I serve Cherry Hill and communities throughout South Jersey, including Haddonfield, Voorhees, Marlton, Moorestown, Collingswood, Mount Laurel, and beyond. I also offer virtual sessions for anyone, anywhere.

What to Expect From Me

No judgment. I don't care how messy it is. I don't care how long it's been this way. Your space doesn't scare me, and it doesn't change how I see you.

Your pace. We go as fast or as slow as you need. Some clients are ready to fill ten trash bags in an hour. Others need more time to process. Both are fine.

Your decisions. Nothing — absolutely nothing — leaves your home without your say-so. I'll ask questions and offer perspective, but every single decision is yours.

Compassion. Letting go is emotional. Sometimes an item isn't just an item — it's a memory, a person, a whole chapter of your life. I get that. I'll sit with you in those moments, not rush you through them.

Confidentiality. What I see in your home stays in your home. Period. I will never share details about your space, your belongings, or your personal situation with anyone. This is a safe space — no photos, no stories, no social media posts without your explicit permission.

Honesty. I'll be straight with you. If you're keeping something out of guilt, I'll gently call it out. If a system isn't going to work for your life, I'll tell you before we build it. You deserve a partner who's kind and honest.
